Sake is closely associated with the aristocracy. Water-basedbeverage of fermented rice is oftenserved with sushi or other Asiansnacks. Sake is delicious servedwarm or cold, usually presented insakazuki (small cup flat, like asauce), ochoko (tiny cup), orplaced in a masu (wooden box). Sake is also often used intraditional Japanese ceremony.
